We’re encouraging grads, educators, family, friends and GED hopefuls to join us for our annual #GEDGradDay online celebration!

This annual online event celebrates GED graduates and their personal and professional accomplishments, while motivating others to pursue their GED credential.

We know many GED students face challenges while working on their credential and sometimes those tough spots turn into excuses. This year’s theme focuses on the excuses and hurdles graduates have overcome in pursuit of their GED. We’re asking grads to post a picture on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #GEDGradDay and share an obstacle they’ve faced while working toward their GED.

The adult educator toolkit includes printouts they can use or they can write their own. We also want you and other educators to participate by sharing a photo using the hashtag.

This year we’ve also added a sweepstakes for students! They can enter for a chance to win a GED Grad prize pack that includes an iPad, a backpack, GED swag, and a $50 Amazon gift card.

To enter, students can share how they pushed past excuses and obstacles during their GED journey and/or tag friends to motivate them. Eligible posts must include the hashtag #GradDaySweeps and must be in the Facebook event. RSVP for the event here. The official sweepstakes rules are available here.

Thanks to your dedication to GED students, more graduates than ever are earning their credential and pursuing their college and career goals.

We look forward to seeing your posts!
