Accommodations

We are committed to providing students with full access to the GED® test for anyone with disabilities and support the intention of the Americans with Disabilities Act as Amended (ADAAA).

Who gets accommodations?

Accommodations are also called “reasonable adjustments” or “modified testing conditions”. Some of the conditions that can get accommodations include: chronic pain or illness; physical disabilities; mental disorders or learning disabilities. Test accommodations are considered on a case-by-case basis and include things such as extra testing time or extra breaks.

To see if you can get accommodations, you need to submit a request on your GED.com account. In your application, you must include medical documentation and/or evaluations of your condition(s). Use one of the four Documentation and Evaluation Guidelines to learn what documents to submit with your accommodation request.
