Massachusetts Promotion Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to the “Massachusetts Promotion”

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts (“Massachusetts) is offering a GED® test subsidy to eligible Test-takers until: (1) the funding runs out; or (2) 11:59 p.m. on June 30, 2023, whichever occurs first (“Promotion Period”). The Massachusetts Promotion is available to support Massachusetts GED® Test-takers in their efforts to achieve passing scores on all four (4) GED content area tests to earn their GED high school equivalency credential. The four GED content area tests are:

Reasoning through Language Arts, Social Studies, Science and Mathematical Reasoning.

The Massachusetts Promotion is administered by GED Testing Service LLC (“GEDTS”).  GEDTS will provide eligible Test-takers who are Massachusetts residents and have passed the GED Ready® Official Practice test for one specific content area with a code for the value of the GED Official Test for that same content area (“Promotion Code(s)”). Test-takers may use the Promotion Code(s) to schedule up to four (4) separate tests; one for the first attempt in each of the four separate GED Official content area tests via Center-Based Testing (CBT) or via Online Proctored (OP). Test-takers may use the Promotion Code(s) to schedule up to two (2) retakes per content area test via CBT and up to one (2) retake per content area test via OP while funding lasts.   If a Test-taker fails to appear for a scheduled testing appointment, that “no-show” event will count as an attempt of the GED Official content area tests. Eligible Test-takers desiring to use the Promotion Code(s) must do so by scheduling their test appointments before the Promotion Period ends.

Eligibility Requirements: To be eligible for the Massachusetts Promotion, the Test-taker must meet Massachusetts’s policy requirements for taking GED tests.

GEDTS retains the right to request additional information when processing or validating the use of the Promotion Code(s) and is not responsible for late code entries. Test seating and the subsidy funding is limited and GEDTS is not responsible if there are no seats available or the subsidy funds run out prior to the end of the Promotion Period. If a Test-taker fails to meet any of the requirements of these Terms and Conditions, they will not be allowed to use the Promotion Code. The Massachusetts Promotion is only authorized in connection with the Massachusetts GED® test computer-based testing program.

The Massachusetts Promotion is valid only during the Promotion Period and only in connection with GED® tests that are administered via computer. The Promotion Code is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash and cannot be applied to any other purpose or purchase or combined with any other discount.

These Terms and Conditions are subject to change at any time without notice. Additional terms and conditions may apply. GEDTS and/or Massachusetts reserves the right, without notice, to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Massachusetts Promotion, in whole or in part, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond its reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of this promotion. GEDTS reserves the right to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the GED® test scheduling system, or otherwise acting in violation of these Terms and Conditions. Void outside Massachusetts and where prohibited by law.
