Pennsylvania Subsidy Promotion Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to the “Pennsylvania Promotion”
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (“Pennsylvania”) is offering a GED® test subsidy to eligible Test-takers until: (1) the funding runs out; or (2) 11:59 p.m. on June 30, 2026, whichever occurs first (“Promotion Period”). The Pennsylvania Promotion is available to support Pennsylvania’s GED® Test-takers in their efforts to achieve passing scores on all four (4) GED® content area tests to earn their GED high school equivalency credential. The four GED content area tests are:
Reasoning through Language Arts, Social Studies, Science and Mathematical Reasoning.
The Pennsylvania Promotion is administered by GED Testing Service LLC (“GEDTS”).
The Pennsylvania Promotion will cover the cost of up to four (4) subtests/subjects of the GED® test for Pennsylvania residents. The discount is available for people who take the tests at an official public in-person authorized testing center or via online proctoring (OP). (Test takers who are not Pennsylvania residents are not eligible to take the GED® test in Pennsylvania and are not eligible for the discount.)
When scheduling a GED® subtest, GED Testing Service will provide a promotion code that is used in the Voucher/Promotion Code field on the payment page during checkout.
- You must have a valid Pennsylvania address to use the promo code.
- You can only use this code a maximum of four (4) times (if you use the promo code on one subject more than once, you will not be able to use it on all 4 subjects).
- The discount covers the cost of the subject subtest and the test center or online proctoring fee the first time you take each subtest.
- You cannot use the promo code for retakes.
- To get the discount, you must use the promo code when checking out. We cannot issue reimbursements to people who do not use the promo code at the time of registration and payment.
This discount will be provided as long as funds are available.
If a Test-taker fails to appear for a scheduled testing appointment, that “no-show” event will count as an attempt of the GED Official content area tests. Eligible Test-takers desiring to use the Promotion Code(s) must do so by scheduling their test appointments before the Promotion Period ends.
Eligibility Requirements: To be eligible for the Pennsylvania Promotion, the Test-taker must meet Pennsylvania’s policy requirements for taking GED tests .
GEDTS retains the right to request additional information when processing or validating the use of the Promotion Code(s) and is not responsible for late code entries. Test seating and the subsidy funding is limited and GEDTS is not responsible if there are no seats available or the subsidy funds run out prior to the end of the Promotion Period. If a Test-taker fails to meet any of the requirements of these Terms and Conditions, they will not be allowed to use the Promotion Code. The Pennsylvania Promotion is only authorized in connection with the Pennsylvania GED® test computer based testing program.
The Pennsylvania Promotion is valid only during the Promotion Period and only in connection with GED® tests that are administered via computer. The Promotion Code is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash and cannot be applied to any other purpose or purchase, or combined with any other discount.
These Terms and Conditions are subject to change at any time without notice. Additional terms and conditions may apply. GEDTS and/or Pennsylvania reserve the right , without notice, to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Pennsylvania Promotion, in whole or in part, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond its reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of this promotion. GEDTS reserves the right to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the GED® test scheduling system, engaging in misconduct, or otherwise acting in violation of these Terms and Conditions.
