Yeakub, a student from Bangladesh, decided to pursue the GED after feeling that his school grade results did not reflect his true potential.
“I struggled with self-doubt and often questioned my academic future. But the GED gave me a second chance—a chance to demonstrate my knowledge, skills, and dedication. The structured curriculum, fair testing system, and internationally recognized credential boosted my self-esteem and opened doors that once felt closed.
Thanks to the GED, I now feel more confident than ever in my ability to pursue higher education and succeed in my studies. This program is a true lifeline for students like me who need an alternative way to prove their qualifications.
I truly feel proud to be part of the GED test-taker community and will always be grateful for the opportunities the GED has given me.”
Now that Yeakub has earned his credential, he has been accepted into the Computer Science program at Washington State University.
